   PPE

   Don welding PPE

   Helmet, gloves, and apron for the qualification run.

2. 02
   Step

   Prepare the test coupon

   Cut and bevel the coupon to the AWS D1.1 procedure for the position being qualified.

3. 03
   Step

   Run the qualification weld

   Complete the weld in the qualified position without stopping mid-pass.

4. 04
   Step

   Submit for bend and visual test

   Hand the coupon to QC for bend and visual inspection; log the result.
